East Africa is one of the major tea producing regions of the world. Kenya is the largest producer in the region and is the world's 4th largest tea exporter. Almost all this region's teas are of fanning grade, which makes for a strong infusion.
Tea gardens can be found in the Kenyan Highlands ranging in altitudes of 5,000 to 9,000 feet. These wonderful estates produce a full-bodied, malty, fruity tea. Regional teas of Tanzania, Usambara, Malawi produce flavorful, full-bodied, rich teas.
Customers who enjoy our Assam teas have found these teas equally pleasing, as they share similar malty notes.
