Scented

The scenting of tea leaves began in ancient China. Still today, the tradition continues. Tea leaves are gently scented with fresh Jasmine blossoms, Osmathus flowers or Bergamot oil.

This process is accomplished by placing fresh tea leaves on mesh screens in several layers. Fresh Jasmine blossoms are placed on top of the tea leaves. After several hours, the spent blossoms are removed by hand and fresh ones added, up to eleven times. Eventually, the tea leaves take on the delicate flavor of the flower, leaving a beautiful and delicately flavored tea.
