In the nineteen years Virtuous Teas has been in business, America has undergone a tea renaissance. More of our customers are requesting high-end authentic orthodox teas than ever before. In China and Japan tea is part of an ancient culture of art and philosophy, and now western tea drinkers too are beginning to appreciate tea as something more than a healthy alternative to the ubiquitous coffee.
We’ve spent the past few months tasting teas recommended to us by our growers and importers as rare or especially fine. With this range we hoped to expand our own knowledge of tea, and allow our customers access to the teas considered the most significant by those who truly know them; the Tea Masters of the land where tea originated.
